250 User License 2 Years, 5 Months ago
I have just downloaded and used the software we are a site with <250 users however becuase we have NICE Voice Recording onsite extension side recording we have to add 200 extensions on the PBX also well, which means we exceed 250 users is their anyway around this so that we can use the software for 'real' extensions only?

thanks

Currently there is no way around this. The recording extensions do appear as extensions on the PBX and will be counted towards the license usage.

I am having the same sort of problem with it counting all the modem, faxes, VDN, Virtual, OPSTA and Xmobile stations. Although a modem and a fax are essentially an analog station, the PVM does not count is on the ratio of an analog station, same with the OPSTA etc. Is there a way I can tell the PVM not to monitor certain stations by ext number or type, so I do not have to buy more licenses because of a failure of the PVM to correctly recognize station types. If not is this going to be fixed in the future.

Rashpal,

We are currently investigating ways to make this licensing more transparent and apologise for any frustration while we get to this.

The whole concept behind licensing phones is a measure of the complexity of the PBX infrastructure and is not just for monitoring physical phones. Since the NICE extensions add complexity to the system and we assume you need to monitor all stations on the PBX, these will probably be included in the license count anyway.
