CDR not working with demo software 2 Years, 4 Months ago  
Loaded the demo software and looks good except CDR link. Error in pbx says CDR buffer is full. Any sugguestions?

What CDR port are you using? and how have you configured your system to send the CDR records to prognosis? It sounds like you might be using some sort of call accounting package that is also using CDR records.

In a PBX, the CDR buffer size varies by system on number of call records. You can program your system to not allow calls or divert calls if you cannot collect cdr records. Please refer to the Feature Description and Implementation Manual - Call Detail Recording in your documentation set for additional details. You can administer your system to do one of the various options described in that document when the CDR buffer is full.

You will need to clear your CDR buffer to re-establish the link with PROGNOSIS. Hope this helps.

This did not work. The system does not come up on the software. I even loaded a CDR program on the PC and set up port 50000 and it worked to that system. I uninstalled it and tried again. It still does not work. I have tried to get support but Prognosis is very hard to work with. I am meeting with my sales person tomorrow and will let him know the troubles I am having with tech support. This is a show stopper for support.'

May I know what type of CDR that I can expect to see in Prognosis VoIP Monitor Entitlement version?
I have seen enabled everything that needed as per the configuration guide but I'm not getting anywhere and couldn't find anything in regards to the CDR on Prognosis.

The Entitlement version of Prognosis does not use the CDR data. The installation guide states that "The CDRs section is optional' and this is for the Entitlement version.

CDR's are predominately used at the moment for the IP Telephony Management Reporter product www.ir.com/reporter.

Thanks for info. The product comparison did mention the CDR is supported for the entitlement version. That's why I wonder to what extend that I can produce report based on the CDR captured.

I have previously worked on a project with the use of IPTM and IPTMR to generate daily report. There are two reports that interest me which are Call Failure and Voice Quality reports. I wonder if can generate the same with the use of entitlement version especially the call failure report. Seems to me I can't get anywhere unless to get the IPTM and IPTMR.

It is true that there are difference between the two offerings. IPTM is a very flexible solution and you can create customized reports with that solution itself or use the preconfigured reports within IPTM Reporter.

The new VoIP Monitor 3.0 does have some enhancements to reporting but it is related to Voice Quality and provides summary data on the total number of calls per time period the report is run as well as Ave and Min values.
