I've tried several methods described in the forum, changed the language settings, installed to c:\ , checked to see if I have the latest MMC, nothing. Logged in as local admin, logged in as domain admin.
The config utility comes up with the message that I do not have administrator privileges and so the changes cannot be applied. As such, I cannot configure the software. Please advise...

What flavor of Windows are you running this on? Is this happening during the addition or deletion of a PBX? Also please post the content of wvlog.txt.

I'm running Windows XP SP3 (Dutch). It happens when you try to setup the first PBX after installation. I'm tried a differnt machine (also WinXP) but with the same results. In the wvlog file it says:

Did the install on the WinXP SP3 machine, logged in as domain administrator (not local admin, did that the first time)...

This problem might be happening due to the fact that the user has to be member of the 'BUILTIN\Administrators' group.

My user is in BUILTIN \ Administrator group. It is also Domain administrator and administrator local server.
But nothing works. I always have the same error message :
"Changes can not be applied Because utility was not started with administrator privileges."

I have the same issue. I'm running over Windows 2008 and our customer give us a local account, should I reinstall it with domain account? or launching configure app with domain account is enough.

we tried install this software on W2k3 and W2k8 w/o success. We used LocalAdmin rights accounts. We always got the same message as described in previous posts in this thread by other users. All software is the newest versions.

What is the solution of this strange problem? In wvlog.txt there is nothing helpful.

it will only work with English version. There is info from support:

"the issue is not really on the regional setting but more specifically it relates to the way the product handles specific characters that are not "Latin"[...]"

This is an issue with non-English version of Windows it seems. We will make sure this is fixed for the next release.

It will work on all English versions of Windows. Sorry for the inconvenience.
