not see any Voice Stream Report 2 Years ago  
Hi, i installed PROGNOSIS VMM, all work fine, but on general Prognosis page i not see information about Voice Stream, and any other information about voice stream on other pages.

I use java (build 1.6.0_18-b07) on server and client hardware.
And i use Entitlement license key on 250 phones



What i must do to solve this problem?

Have you configured the Avaya CM to send the "RTCP" streams to the Prognosis server? Please see page 20 in the "Install and User Guide". Also see page 11 for which ports need to be opened in your firewall and in which direction the data needs to flow.

UDP port 5005 (RTCP) - Opened in the direction from the Phones to VoIP Monitor.

We checked ports by use sniffer program. Ports is open, but we not see any Voice Stream reports.

We not use IP phone, we use IP h.323 trunks and we want to monitor jitter, packet loss, delay in them.

We not use direct IP, that mean, all voice traffic goes throught avaya voice board (med pro).

Voip Monitoring manager monitor only IP phone or they can monitor and voice board to ?

Are you saying that when you perform a Wireshark trace on the PROGNOSIS server you do not see any RTCP packets (or any UDP packets) being sent to 5005?

If not double check that the Sat screen 'change system-parameters ip-options' shows the correct RTCP monitor address and port.

You also need to check that RTCP is enabled in the ip-network-region that the medpro/procr board is in. You will need to check on the ip-network-region form:

RTCP Reporting Enabled? y
RTCP MONITOR SERVER PARAMETERS
Use Default Server Parameters? y


The RCTP will only be sent on an IP leg of the call.

Hello,

we have new CM6 and everything is configured properly. Unfortunately we cannot see new voice streams, but we can see voice streams from old CM. Strange because old CM is not connected in Prognosis (1 PBX is allowed by licence) and there is no connection between hardware from old CM and new CM infrastructure.

All settings are fine as mentioned in Application Notes for Integrated Research PROGNOSIS VoIP Monitor 3.1 with Avaya Aura® Communication Manager 6.0 - Issue 1.0 (PDF).

Any solutions?

Click on the Avaya PBX that you are monitoring. Then click on the Configuration | RTCP link.

This will show the reporting destinations for each network region and PBX configured. Ensure that these are the IP address on the Prognosis server.

Make sure the Total RTCP Packet Summary shows that packets are received.

thanks for info, but I can see only 1st and part of 2nd octets of IP addresses in RTCP Monitor IP column. Resizing is not helping. Any solves ?

Hello,

is there someone who can provide solution of this case?

1) seems be that we monitor another PBX than we want
2) we cannot see RTCP Monitor IP column in Configuration - only 1st & 2nd octet -> xxx.xx... <- it's all.

What browser are you using?

I just tried again with Chrome and IE 8 and both can re-size fine. Maybe update your Java. I am using 6 v19 and it works ok.

Let me know how you go.

2) I can resize column, but data inside this column looks like: xx.x...

Hi Szymon,
You mentioned that you are receiving VoiceQuality Data from another CM.
Please disable RTCP forwarding on the old CM to the Prognosis Server.
On the new sever, please verify that the rtcp destination is well configured and that is enabled.

Than check again in PVM if you can recieve VQ data and ensure that PVM can access the new CM.

thx 4 info. I removed setting on old CM and now everything is working fine.
So the last problem that still exists is no possibility to view full IP address in RTCP monitor - I can resize column, but I can see only xxx.xx... and it is all.
