Can one setup aliases for gateways, boards and or trunks?
Such as "Augusta G450" etc.

You can't currently set up aliases in VoIP monitor only, however VoIP Monitor displays the name of the device as administered in CM. So for example if you name your gateway "Augusta G450" in the media gateway form (change media-gateway x) under the Name: field this will show up a more meaninful description in the UI.

This can also apply to trunks and route patterns using the Name field in CM - i.e. "Trunk to Augusta CM", "E911 Route pattern" etc...
