AAA in VoIP Manager 1 Year, 3 Months ago
Hello,

I'm looking for information about AAA on VoIP Manager.
When accessing the Web page the Authentication seam to be done against AD.
How to limit access only to authorized Microsoft AD group members?
And is there any profile/role feature in VoIP Monitor.

The product has been installed, and at this moment every Microsoft domain user can access and login the web interface.

Thank you for your help.

To limit the access to the web UI for a select group of AD users you can do the following:

1. Customer has to create a new user group that contains the authorized users. Say Prognosis_GRP
2. To only allow the user group to access Prognosis Web UI by adding this statement to “Security” section in PRGNINI.ini file. This file is in the c:\Prognosis VoIP Monitor\Server\Configuration (or relative install path)

[Security]
AllowedGroup = myw2kdom\Prognosis_GRP

Where myw2kdom is the domain and Prognosis_GRP is the user group.

3. Restart Prognosis and check permissions.

Let me know how you go.

Hi Paul,

Two questions:

1-to validate users against a domain, it is necessary that the Prognosis server is in domain?
2-"Customer has to create a new user group that contains the authorized users. Say Prognosis_GRP" this step I have to do in the domain server AD?

Thank you so much for your help

best regards
AJ

Yes to both. Prognosis server must be in the domain and the group is an Active Directory group so must be on the domain server AD.
