What is Prognosis VoIP Monitor?
Prognosis VoIP Monitor is a comprehensive and scalable multi-vendor voice quality monitoring solution for Avaya, Cisco, and Microsoft Lync IP telephony.

It provides a wide range of metrics including: QoS information such as MOS, latency, packet loss, and jitter; component availability, and device utilization. A browser-based interface provides easy configuration and data monitoring.

How many phones can I monitor with Prognosis VoIP Monitor?
Every Avaya, Cisco and Microsoft customer can monitor up to 250 IP phones for free! If you have more than 250 phones, Prognosis VoIP monitor will still provide data for the first 250 phones discovered.
 

What if I want to monitor more than 250 phones?
Prognosis VoIP Monitor Plus will allow you to monitor up to 5,000 IP phones, across 

  • Up to 10 Avaya/Cisco PBXs
  • 1 Microsoft Lync site.
Environments with more than 5,000 phones can select Prognosis for Unified Communications (UC); the enterprise solution that provides monitoring of an unlimited number of phones, deep UC device information and support for additional vendors like Alcatel-Lucent and Acme Packet.
 
How do I purchase more licenses?
Prognosis VoIP Monitor Plus licenses can be purchased from certified resellers. Prognosis for UC can be purchased from a Prognosis certified reseller or by contacting Integrated Research directly.
 

Is Prognosis compliant tested?
Yes. Prognosis VoIP Monitor is built on the same multi-vendor certified architecture as Prognosis for UC which is:  

  • Avaya Compliant Tested for Avaya Communication Manager 3,4 and 5.x; and Avaya Aura Communication Manager 5.2 and 6.0
  • Cisco interoperability verified for Cisco Unified Communications Manager 5.0 – 8.6
  • Microsoft Qualified to manage Microsoft Lync 2010 Quality of Experience (QoE)

What is the difference between Prognosis VoIP Monitor and Prognosis for UC?
Prognosis for UC is designed for enterprises and service providers to monitor an unlimited number of phones and additional Unified Communications applications such as IM and Presence, and Session Border Controllers.  It includes a highly customizable interface, support for multiple browsers and advanced reporting capabilities.
